WWE to Host WrestleMania 42 Inside Active Volcano, Citing Las Vegas' Drama Deficit
A fiery decision to outdo Sin City's entertainment value

"If Vegas can't up the stakes, then it's time to bring the lava," said Vince McMahon.
In an unexpected move that already has the world buzzing, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has announced that WrestleMania 42 will take place inside an active volcano. This location was chosen after the organization determined that Las Vegas, the perennial candidate, "lacked sufficient drama" to host the event.
The decision, revealed by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon during a press conference engulfed in smoke machines and pyrotechnics, aims to escalate the grandeur of their flagship event. “People come to us for spectacle,” McMahon declared, sporting a fire-retardant suit. "If Vegas can't up the stakes, then it's time to bring the lava."
The selected volcano, Mount Mayhem, known for its frequent yet predictable eruptions, is situated in an uninhabited part of the Pacific Ocean. Logistically, WWE is partnering with top geologists and innovative architects to construct a floating stadium that promises both ring-side and crater-side seats.
Wrestlers have embraced the challenge enthusiastically. "I’ve jumped off steel cages and wrestled in a ring full of thumbtacks," said fan-favorite wrestler, The Inferno King. "What's a little molten lava compared to that? Plus, I look great in fire-resistant gear."
Concerns about safety and environmental impact were quickly addressed by WWE's head of operations, who assured that protective measures were in place. Additionally, officials are collaborating with organizations to ensure no lava is displaced, except for dramatic entrances and perhaps the occasional chokeslam.
Economists are divided on the choice. "While this may boost WWE's global appeal," said economic analyst Dirk Flam, "it raises questions about tourism, as the mere thought of getting charred could deter fans. Then again, they might bet on eruptions."
Tickets, which went on sale immediately after the announcement, are reportedly selling like hot magma. Curious fans hope attending will make them the coolest spectators — once they cool down, that is.
When asked about future plans, McMahon hinted that WrestleMania 43 might take place on the moon. "Zero gravity would provide an interesting twist," he mused, with a glint in his eye that suggested anything is possible when it comes to WWE.
